Special Merits
The Felix Hoppe-Seyler Prize represents an honor for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine . The prize is nationally advertised every three years and can be awarded to both individuals and research groups.
The award is endowed with 10,000 €.
Award Ceremony
The prize is usually awarded every 3 years on the occasion of the annual meeting of the German United Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine e.V. The award is presented by the President or Vice President.
Prize Winners
The prize is awarded to individuals, groups of individuals, or research groups who have made outstanding contributions to Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine . Merits worthy of the prize include outstanding research results, the development and implementation of pioneering concepts, or exceptional commitment to education, further training, and continuing education. A division of the prize is not possible.
Call for Entries
The prize is advertised nationally. Members of the German Society for Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine e.V. can nominate prize recipients, and applications are also possible.

The decision on the award is made by a jury with the following composition:
- two members of the DGKL Presidium, one of whom chairs, and
- three DGKL members appointed by the DGKL Presidium.
