The part-time Master’s degree course “Medical Laboratory, M.Sc.” at the Faculty of Medicine at Leipzig University complements the practice-oriented further training as a clinical chemist with a structured academic qualification and prepares students specifically for demanding tasks in modern laboratory medicine.<\/p>\n

Participants benefit from an innovative teaching concept that combines medical principles with modern analytics, data analysis and quality management. They are taught skills for carrying out, interpreting and evaluating laboratory diagnostic tests and for taking on responsible activities in the medical laboratory. Special emphasis is placed on current developments such as automation, big data-supported analyses and the integration of artificial intelligence into diagnostic processes. <\/p>\n

TARGET GROUP<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The course is aimed at graduates of natural and life science Master’s degree courses who are already working in medical laboratories or biomedical research or who are aiming for a corresponding professional career – in particular as part of further training to become a clinical chemist.<\/p>\n
