Membership of the DGKL is open to specialists in laboratory medicine and doctors in further training, clinical chemists, doctors and scientists in further training as clinical chemists and experts who have rendered outstanding services to laboratory medicine over many years.           Doctors from other specialties, scientists, students and technical assistants can become associate members. They have the right to attend and advise at the General Meeting and should be heard by the bodies of the Association on their own behalf.
