The work of the section aims to support colleagues in both hospital and private laboratories in their daily work, for example by providing practice-relevant work instructions for the various areas of hemostaseology. <\/p>\n<p>Hemostaseology is linked to almost all clinical areas and fundamental subjects such as physiology and pharmacology like hardly any other field of laboratory medicine. In everyday practice, questions about pre-analytics (method of blood collection and the necessary equipment, vessels, material transport), analytics per se (internal laboratory workflow, measurement methodology), and especially post-analytics (result interpretation in close contact with senders) play a central role. The complex process of \u2018coagulation\u2019 and the resulting analytical peculiarities repeatedly pose challenges for medical technical assistants (MTAs) and laboratory physicians or clinical chemists.
