This section focuses on central aspects of pre- and post-analytics in laboratory medicine. The following objectives are currently being pursued:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The compendium \u2018The Quality of Diagnostic Samples\u2019, already authored by the \u2018Pre-analytics\u2019 working group in cooperation with BD, is going to be transferred to new media formats (e.g., mobile app).<\/li>\n<li>The establishment of a standard catalog for stability testing in coordination with the European activities<\/li>\n<li>The development of a proficiency test for pre-analytics<\/li>\n<li>Standard-based continuing education presentations for doctors, MTAs, BMAs, and nursing staff<\/li>\n<li>The harmonization of color coding for blood collection tubes<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/dgkl.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/190111_stellungnahme_einh_farbcodes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Position paper on the standardization of cap colors \/ PDF<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In 2017, the section published a standard operating procedure for peripheral venous blood collection for laboratory medical diagnostics with De Gruyter publishing house.
